Surviving Mars: Relaunched is a sci-fi colony builder on Steam and a rebuilt version of Haemimont Games' original settlement simulation. Players take the role of a mission commander who has to get a colony started on the Red Planet, expand its infrastructure, and keep it stable once human settlers arrive.
The game combines simulation and strategy as players balance water, oxygen, food, and power while laying out domes and supporting structures across the Martian surface. Sandstorms and other hazards test those plans, and the long-term objective is a settlement that can support itself. Relaunched also introduces the Martian Assembly, a political system where colonies pass laws and can eventually work toward independence from Earth.
Haemimont Games developed the remaster and Paradox Interactive published it on November 10, 2025. It holds a Metacritic score of 76, which places it as a reasonable fit for players who enjoy planning, resource juggling, and long colony runs rather than quick matches.
