RoboBall Is Free on IndieGala — Add It to Your Library Before It’s Gone

If you’ve been looking for a chill but brain-tickling puzzle game to add to your collection, this one’s for you. RoboBall, a physics-based 3D puzzle game developed by PS Games, is currently available for free on IndieGala. No strings attached — just claim it, keep it forever.

Normally priced at $8.89 on Steam ChoiceCheapies, this is a solid freebie worth grabbing even if you don’t plan to play it right away.

What Is RoboBall?

RoboBall puts you in control of a ball-shaped robot as you work through a series of physics- and logic-based puzzles. The goal on each level is to navigate various mechanisms and reach the teleporter that sends you to the next stage.

The game features a futuristic theme with 3D graphics and a third-person perspective. Its puzzles revolve around interacting with mechanisms like buttons and switches that need to be activated to clear the path forward.

It sounds simple on paper — but as the levels progress, the combinations get genuinely clever.

Gameplay Mechanics

Each level throws a mix of tools at you: elevators, laser switches, doors, and buttons of all kinds. To open a door or activate a mechanism, you’ll need to press the right button. Sometimes that’s not something you can do alone — you’ll need metal balls, barrels, or crates to help. And occasionally, they’ll need you in return.

There are two types of buttons to keep in mind:

  • Switch — press it once to activate the linked object, press it again to deactivate it.
  • Trigger — the linked object stays active only as long as something remains on top of it. Step off, and it shuts down.

Understanding this distinction becomes increasingly important as the puzzles stack up in complexity.

Level Editor & Steam Workshop

RoboBall includes a fully featured level editor — and in fact, all of the game’s official levels were built using it. It also integrates with Steam Workshop, letting you create, share, and download custom stages made by the community.

If you enjoy the base game, there’s a whole extra layer of content waiting for you there.
